Privacy Policy

Shop Your Closet ("the App") is a personal wardrobe-management app. This policy explains what information the App collects, why, and how it's used.

Information We Collect

• Name — your first and last name, collected when you create an account.
• Email address — used to create and sign in to your account.
• Photos — images you choose to add of your closet items, stored so you can browse and manage your wardrobe.

Lending Between Members — Not Currently Active

The App contains features for lending clothes between members and finding closets nearby. These are switched off, and the App does not currently collect location or address information at all. This section describes what would be collected if and when they are turned on, so you know in advance.

• Approximate (coarse) location — only for the optional "Near Me" feature, to show nearby shared or donation closets, and never collected unless you use it.
• Home and/or alternate address — optional, used as your pickup location when you approve a borrow request. You control what other members see: city/state only, city/state/ZIP, or your full address (shared only after you've approved a specific borrow).

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to operate the App's features: authenticating your account, displaying your closet items, and (if you opt in) showing nearby closets. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Sharing Between Users

Closet items you explicitly mark as public or shared with a group are visible to other users of the App as you've configured. Anything not marked public or shared stays private to your account. If you enable "Let nearby members find me," other users can see your general area (city/state, or city/state/ZIP, depending on your setting); your full street address is only ever shared once you've approved a specific borrow request from that member.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account yourself at any time, from More → Delete my account inside the App. Doing so permanently removes your items and their photographs, your outfits, trips and packing lists, everything recorded about what you have worn, your sizes and addresses, and your sign-in. It cannot be undone, and we do not keep a copy.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
